The air speed flap. I've never tried this with a FTC rocket, but it's worth a try.
There is metalic tape on this rocket, which disqualifies it from any possible ranking in the WRA2 record book.... but this one is solely for research, so that's OK.
Video of how the air speed flap should work.

Welcome
This is the new site for team Tsuyoku Arashi Water Rockets.
We are based in Tulsa, OK USA. I am Andrew, the founder of the team. I have building rockets for almost 12 years now, and am now on the path to eventually set a world record for Class A and Class B water rocket altitudes, according to The Water Rocket Achievement World Record Association rules.
I stopped making rockets for a few years because of military deployments, failed engagement, and many other issues. But now, it's time to get back on track.
This site is only temporary. I will be getting a real web page as soon as I have time to dedicate to a site.
